Biography
Another PG Academy graduate with Surrey in his blood, off spinner Simon King will be keen to make his point in 2010 after an impressive season in 2009. Although he was hit by occasional injuries, he made an excellent first-class debut at Lord’s against Middlesex, taking 3/61 and become the leading wicket taker in the Second XI Championship with 25 scalps at 21.64. Although the arrival of Piyush Chawla and Gareth Batty has put spin places in the First XI at premium, King will be keen to continue his good form and push for inclusion whenever he can.
