Biography
A brilliant period of good form towards the end of the season saw Matthew Spriegel become the first PG Academy graduate to score a first-class century for Surrey – exactly 100 notched against Glamorgan at the Brit Oval. In Twenty20, Spriegel was an ever present, scoring 100 runs and topping the bowling averages with 11 wickets at 23.86. In the winter, he left for Australia to play alongside Stewart Walters at Perth CC, continuing his good spell and impressing the locals hugely with an early knock of 191.
