Mark Ramprakash has continued his stunning form on the dance floor by coming out victorious in three of the first five shows on his debut Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour.
Ramps, dancing with new partner Kristina Rihanoff, was at the top of the judge’s scorecard for all five shows – with his popularity being matched by the audience, who voted him as either winner or runner up on all bar one of the five shows that have recently taken place at the Manchester Evening News Arena.
As on the BBC show, the middle order maestro was particularly popular when performing the ‘Latin’ dance, dropping just three points out of a possible 180 throughout the tour’s three night stand in Manchester and impressing the Strictly judges – Len Goodman, Craig Revell-Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and the returning Arlene Phillips.
With the tour still due to visit Liverpool, Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, London, Glasgow, Belfast and Newcastle, Ramps still has a long way to go to win yet another dancing honour – but as all Surrey fans well know, it is foolish in the extreme to put anything past him!
Speaking to the official Surrey website this morning, Ramps said: "I've been really enjoying the tour so far, it's a great night out and I hope to see lots of Surrey fans as we go around the country.
"I'm dancing a salsa to Feeling Hot Hot Hot and the Argentine Tango to the James Bond Goldeneye theme, so hopefully whoever wins the tickets to the O2 will enjoy them and vote for me!"
