More Second XI opportunities for youngsters

There are more opportunities for Surrey’s young stars to experience high level cricket this week, with Ian Salisbury including six PG Academy stars in the his Second XI sides to play Northamptonshire in both the Second XI Trophy and Championship.
The youngsters, fresh off a tough win against Kennington United on Sunday, will first line up in a One Day match on Tuesday (June 23rd) at Wellingborough School before five of them stay with the side for the three day game which kicks off the following day (Wednesday June 24th) at Milton Keynes CC.
Salisbury’s side will be keen to push on from their most recent performance, a battling draw with Middlesex where they only required four more wickets for what would have been an excellent victory at Charterhouse School last week.
The PG Academy players playing both matches are Seren Waters, Rory Burns, Tom Lancefield, Freddie van den Burgh and George Edwards. Tom Jewell will be playing only in the Trophy match.
