Nobody really wants to work on Christmas Eve – not even the finest wordsmiths of this country’s revered Fourth Estate.
With that in mind, Surrey decided against attempting to drag the nation’s finest cricket journalists away from their warm fires, loving families and full bellies on December 24th and waited until last week – when everybody was far more inclined to put in some honest grind – to introduce their new captain, Rory Hamilton-Brown.
