Stuart Meaker has recently returned from a coaching trip to the Dennis Lillee Bowling Academy in Chennai and has been telling Surrey TV about his experiences in India.
Meaker – who was on the trip as part of his work with the ECB Fast Bowling Development Scheme that also saw him training in Florida before Christmas – roomed with his Surrey colleague Chris Jordan and spent a long time picking up unique tips from the moustachioed Aussie legend.
Although he admits that Lillee has “got his opinions and his own method of working people’s techniques”, Meaker was very positive about the trip, particularly as the weather was slightly more hospitable than his previous – scalding – trip to Mumbai with Surrey three years ago!
