Whilst the word Friday might conjure up images of the last hour of the working week or a relaxed night down the local boozer – for Surrey cricketers it is beginning to instil a grim fear.
With sprint drills in the snow and the least enjoyable sightseeing trip ever already in the bag, this week Ian Salisbury decided to let them off the hook a little and only send them to Kennington Park, a mere five minutes from the Brit Oval.
However, when they got there they were greeted with news of a punishing sprint training session followed by a half hour game of five a side football played on a pitch size that would encourage far more running that might normally be expected.
