Butcher in Second XI squad for Twenty20 against Middlesex

Surrey skipper Mark Butcher has been included in Ian Salisbury’s Second XI squad for a Twenty20 friendly against Middlesex at Cranleigh School today.
Butcher, who has been out for nearly a year with an injury to his right knee, will make a decision on whether he plays shortly before the game but will not captain the side, who remain under the leadership of 24-year-old Chris Murtagh.
Salisbury has picked what is largely a very experienced team to take on Middlesex, including Jonathan Batty, Alex Tudor and Murtaza Hussain alongside Butcher. The side also includes a Surrey triallist, leg spinner Callum Bailey.
