Brown Back from the West Indies
Brown Back from the West Indies
23 February 2010
Opening batsman Michael Brown has returned to the cold British winter from a sunny sojourn in Trinidad and has spoken to Surrey TV about how great it was to get back out in the middle.
Brown, who has previously been hard at work with Graham Thorpe in the nets at the Brit Oval's Ken Barrington Cricket Centre, played three two day matches whilst in Trinidad, gradually finding his form with a score of 86 in the final match. As well as the competitive games, he enjoyed a significant amount of middle nets, trialling the work he did in London in a true cricketing format.
With Browny further taking the opportunity to refresh his countenance with some welcome summer sun, a return to the miserly temperatures of London in February has not come without its down points. However, the impending pre-season to the Emirates ARCH Trophy in Dubai is a beacon on the horizon - and Brown further admits he cannot wait for the season to get going.
